Retro Holiday Cookies: Walnut Cups

Walnut Cups or "Tassie's," as Grandma more frequently called them are what I classify as an "adult cookie." As a kid, Tassie's were not my cookie of choice, but as an adult - I love them!

These cookies are quite impressive and relatively simple to make. Enjoy!

Walnut Cups

1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese

1/4 cup butter

1 cup flour

For the filling:

2/3 cup chopped walnuts

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla

pinch of salt

1 Tblsp. butter

Take small piece of dough and press into small UNGREASED cup cake pan. Fill halfway with filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
