What’s On Tap, a weekly radio show focusing on craft beer news and tri-state area beer info, began airing and web streaming on January 24th.
Hosted by Gary Monterosso and Tara Nurin, What's On Tap airs on Saturdays at 1 pm on WSNJ 1240 AM .
Gary Monterosso is an award-winning critic who has written for national and regional publications, appeared nationally, and authored the book, Artisan Beers. The SNJ Today weekend one-hour show features Monterosso, as well as local and national guests who help deliver a host of information and insight about the world of brewing.
Gary has appeared on many local and national television and radio programs discussing craft beers. He also appeared on BBC radio offering an American perspective on the beverage. Monterosso was the three-year host of a Sirius Satellite Radio network syndicated show about the brewing industry. He is currently featured in the History Channel show titled The Epic History of Everyday Things. Recently Chilled Magazine selected Monterosso to be a member of the “Chilled 100,” which according to the magazine includes the top 100 beverage personalities in the United States.
Co-host, Tara Nurin, is a nationally published freelance journalist, beer columnist, and a Cicerone Certified Beer Server. She runs Beer for Babes, New Jersey’s original beer appreciation group for women, and serves as publicity director for the Pink Boots Society, an international non-profit dedicated to advancing women in the beer industry. The former major-market TV reporter leads interactive tasting and pairing workshops through her company, Ferment Your Event, and teaches the world’s only regularly scheduled beer-and-chocolate class. Tara lives on the Camden, NJ waterfront.
