Chef David Viana has announced that he will be the executive chef at The Kitchen at Grove Station, a BYO slated to open in downtown Jersey City in November 2014.
Most recently, Viana was chef de cuisine at Ryan DePersio's Battello in Jersey City. Previous to that, Viana was chef de cuisine at Daryl Wine Bar (closed) in New Brunswick under Zod Arifai.
The Kitchen at Grove Station will feature New American, farm to table cuisine, in a casual atmosphere with an upscale slant. Viana, who is not a partner, but will have complete control of the concept and the food, says "[w}e want to continue what 30 Acres started and be a beacon of great original food for a burgeoning community."
Formerly a lunch counter, the heavily renovated space will emphasize the finest points of service and hospitality. Interior photos to come! View more of The Kitchen at Grove Station on Instagram at @grovestationkitchen .
