Sushi Hana opened in Montclair in 1999.  Quick math - that's almost fifteen years ago; a respectable run for a restaurant by Montclair standards.  Still, owner, Irene La, felt it was time for a make-over.

Enter, Petom Kochawattana, new co-owner and the man behind the reinvented Sushi Hana, and owner of Bangkok Kitchen, which has been pad-thai'd down in Caldwell for thirteen years.

What changes will you see at Sushi Hana? In addition to interior structural and decor - carpentry done by Petom himself -  the menu is a more pan-asian, offering Malaysian, Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisine.   Items like Vietnamese Pho with beef ($14.95), Ramen ($14.95), Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Pork and Chive Dumplings ($5.95), Shrimp and Jalapeno Dumplings ($5.95), Peking duck Dumplings ($6.95), Pad Thai, Malaysia Chicken Curry ($8.95) with spicy coconut based curry with onions, carrots and potatoes, with red onion crisps, and Tofu vegetable HotPot ($8.95) will all be part of the pan-Asian offerings.
