When people ask me where to get a good steak, I suggest The Orange Squirrel in Bloomfield. Despite being the unofficial food capital of NJ, Montclair had lacked a reputable, reliable steakhouse. But J & K Steakhouse, the newest restaurant in Montclair, plans to change that.

On Tuesday night, J & K opened it's doors at 44 South Park St. in the Siena building. Owned by the young and affable, Jarod and Kathy Zelaya, J & K operates two other locations, one in Dover and another in Morristown. I asked Kathy why she and Jarod choose Montclair as the site for their third location.
