Here's a look at this year's highlights:

The festival will offer a chance to see a few familiar chefs from TV in action: Wade Burch (who won Food Network’s Chopped), Alex Garcia (star of Cooking Channel’s Melting Pot), Jehangir Mehta (Runner-Up on Food Network’s Next Iron Chef), Dave Martin (a finalist on Bravo’s Top Chef) and Douglas Rodriguez (a contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters).

Some of the events taking place include a Meatless Mondays Cooking Demo on Saturday at 11am where personal chef and leading culinary nutritionist Diane Henderiks (also known as “The Dietician in the Kitchen”) will show creative ways to prepare sumptuous meals that are meat free but fit for even the most sophisticated palate. Henderiks has a refreshing "non-dieting" approach to eating that doesn't rely on weighing ingredients or dissecting food labels. She believes that with a little finesse, any dish can be revamped to be good for you(tickets for this individual event are just $30).

The Sommelier Showdown on Saturday at 12:30pm promises to be a deliciously entertaining event, featuring professional sommeliers in a competition demonstrating their skills in front of a panel of judges. Attendees can watch some of the nation’s best sommeliers practice their craft in this fascinating contest as the sommeliers pair wines with a three course-lunch prepared by master chefs, allowing attendees to sample and taste along with the contestants and judges (tickets for this individual wine and food pairing event are just $59).

Celebrated chef and author Pichet Ong will lead an exciting cooking demonstration on Saturday, September 10th at 4pm. Attendees will have the unprecedented opportunity to learn from one of the top pastry chefs in the country on how to make a Soft Cheesecake with Cherries and Peaches, a timeless and tasty dessert perfect for fall. Ong has worked with Jean Georges Vongerichten and Max Brenner, and his cookbook The Sweet Spot has been hailed as a "must-read" for all dessert lovers. His restaurants include P*ONG, Village Tart, Spot Dessert Bar, and most recently, Qi Bangkok Eatery in New York City, and his remarkable culinary creations can be found all over the globe from New York and New Orleans to Australia and Asia (tickets for this individual event are just $30).
