Guy Fieri: Can It Be True?

by Melody Kettle

Really? Is Guy Fieri, Food Network's beloved host of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, a homophobic, breast-loving maniac?

Following the City Pages article, and Eater's very timely follow up, HFTK is asking: Is it true? Is Guy a chauvinistic homopbobe?

The Guy Fieri we've come to know and love has frequented such local diners as Tick-Tock, joints as Maui's Dog House, and dives such as White-Mana.

So how do you see it? Has Guy Fieri's Food Network celebrity chef ride come to an end? Or is this just a case of professional jealousy? Will Guy overcome the allegations? Let us know?

Ritesh Patel and Chef Karthik KumarMontclair has long been a formidable food town, highly regarded for innovative new-American cuisine, and praised for the large number of ethnic restaurants.  Strangely, Montclair’s culinary portfolio was lacking a serious performer in the Indian food sector.

Hot From The Kettle: Chinese Pork Dumplings

Christina and I spent the morning making delicious pork filled Chinese Dumplings. Soon after my visit, I took on the dumpling project. As Christina suggested, I was able to purchase a package of dumpling wrappers at East West Asian Market, 67 Belleville Avenue, Bloomfield, for less than $2! Though the crimping technique Christina demonstrates with such ease came a little slow to me, I succeeded in making about two dozen dumplings and tucked them away in the freezer.

Want to see how Cristina crimps the perfect pork filled dumpling? Watch the video below:
