Picked In Time!

The Concord Grapes are safe! The little purple gems ripened just in time to avoid Irene's wrath.

Although there are a few green grapes still hanging on the vine, my real concern has shifted to the heirloom tomatoes. Unfortunately, they are not quite ready to pick. I hope the ride out the storm safely.

I recently had the pleasure of sampling our Garden State’s own Jersey Fields Tomato Sauce. Appropriately named, the Jersey born and bottled sauce is a product of the Farm-To-Table-Food Group, a local company that specializes in the production of sauces and salsa’s using only Jersey farm fresh produce.

Montclair Farmers' Market Opening Day 2011& Name That Produce!

The Montclair Farmers' Market, which is as much a mecca for fresh local produce as it is for local conversation and socialization, opened today.  Gorgeous peonies and live music played by local musicians, including John Ehlis with Cham Rand,  set the scene!
