Happy 1st Anniversary Pig & Prince! Saturday BBQ & Signature Ale
Hot From The Kettle is very happy to wish Chef Michael Carrino and his team at Pig & Prince a very happy first anniversary.
To celebrate, this Saturday, Pig & Prince Restaurant & Gastrolounge is celebrating its first anniversary with a unique twist - by tapping its limited-edition Pig & Prince Anniversary Ale by Ramstein – a limited-edition Pale Ale style beer made from European pale malted barley and hops from Germany and the Pacific Northwest – during a special pig roast party on Saturday, August 24 from 11:00AM – 5:00PM.
Created in partnership with Butler-based, High Point Brewing Company, makers of Ramstein, and brewed specifically for Pig & Prince, the restaurant will first unveil its Pig & Prince Anniversary Ale by Ramstein during a pig roast barbecue on its new patio featuring some of its signature foods, a DJ and all day drink specials, face painters for the kids and more. Admission is $10 per person and covers all patio foods – such as a full pig roast featuring pulled pork, BBQ brisket, cornbread, coleslaw and much more. The restaurant brewed 500 gallons of its Pig & Prince Anniversary Ale by Ramstein, yielding approximately 2,500 pints. It will also have one and two liter glass growlers for purchase and fill and pints will be specially priced at $4.00 each.
“We are excited to celebrate our one year anniversary with this tasty Anniversary Ale made specifically for us by our good friends at High Point Brewing Company,” said Michael Carrino, chef and partner, Pig & Prince Restaurant & Gastrolounge. “We wanted to do something different to celebrate while continuing to bring unique food and drink opportunities to Montclair’s dining scene. We think that unveiling our own limited-edition IPA will do just that.”
Here's a look down memory lane.
