Call for Entries! Toni’s Kitchen invites the community to its first annual Summer Berry Bake-Off and Bake Sale.
The highly competitive judging panel from our favorite local bakeries – Gina’s, Le Baker’s Dozen, The Little Daisy Bakeshop, and the Montclair Bread Company, will decide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for each category. All entries in the Summer Berry Bake-Off must be a type of baked good using berries.
Prizes in the Adult category include dinner for two at Albert’s, the new and much talked-about restaurant on Church Street; dinner for two at Montclair’s favorite pub, Egan & Sons; a gift card for Williams-Sonoma with accompanying treats that include Nielsen-Massey Pure Vanilla; baking books and more.
Special prizes for our “Tweens and Teens” category and for “Children – 10 and Under." The entry fee is $10 per baked item for Adults and Tweens and Teens. Fee for Children - 10 and Under is $3. Entry fee on the day of the event is $15 per item, $5 for children’s entries.
The Summer Berry Bake-Off and Bake Sale will take place on the lawn in front of St. Luke’s, 73 So. Fullerton Ave., on Sunday, July 22 at 11:30. Judging will begin at 12:00. In the event of inclement weather (rain or too hot) the event will move indoors to the Assembly Hall.
Join as a contestant, or donate an item to the Bake Sale or just shop for yummy treats! Monies raised through the Summer Berry Bake-Off and Bake Sale will be used to serve meals to those who are hungry and in need in our community.
