Here's a unique salad that Grandma makes for nearly every Summer party. It's crispy, it's sweet, it's savory, and it's the perfect accompaniment for Pulled Pork!
Much of the preparation can be done ahead of time, but the dressing should wait until serving. And remember shake the dressing well!
1 Large Nappa Cabbage
6-8 Green Onions
1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
1/2 Package Slivered Almonds
1 Stick of Butter
1 Cup Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Cider Vinegar
2 Tbls. Soy Sauce
Shred Cabbage and Chop onions. Put in plastic bag and refrigerate.
Saute all ingredients for Topping and pour into brown paper bag to absord excess butter.
For the dressing, combine all ingredients in a glass jar and refrigerate. When ready to serve, shake it well.
When time to serve, toss salad greens & topping, then dress and and toss well.
