Sam Mickail's CUT Steak House Opens in West Orange

West Orange nightclub, 4Sixty6, has opened CUT Steak House on the second floor of the luxe entertainment complex.  Owner of 4Sixty6, Ralph Cestone, has brought in Chef Sam Mickail, formerly of Rare Steak House in Little Falls, Il Tulipano and Highlawn Pavilion, to create contemporary American steak house cuisine, infused with Mickail's Mediterranean influences.

The 20,000 square foot complex, dubbed "NJ's Vegas," reaffirms all of New Jersey’s undeniable flare! It's hard to miss the twinkliness of the largest disco ball in the United States (the third largest in the world), and it just wouldn't be Jersey if the dance floors and the fireplaces didn’t rotate! For those who seek privacy while clubbing, 4Sixty6 offers many VIP spaces and private rooms featuring ostrich upholstery and bottle service.

The dining room at CUT Steak House is remarkably striking.  Enter through two massive, ebonied oak doors, and you immediately absorb the luxury of the room; warm yet handsome, the bar is lacquered with high gloss black car paint, while burgundy velvet drapes envelope the room.    A custom glass chandelier made up of 350 individual pieces of cut glass and color changing LED lights, by Rhinebeck-based sculptor Barry Entner, hangs from a ceiling covered in real silver foil.   My derrière was most comfortable in Cut’s plush club chairs - comfy for dining or sitting back to take a breather between courses.
