Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas is hosting a Lieb Cellars Wine Dinner at its location in the Clifton Commons on Thursday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m.
The evening will highlight wines produced by Lieb Cellars, an 85-acre sustainably farmed vineyard located on the North Fork of Long Island. Hosted by General Manager, Brian McAllister, Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas will take guests on a culinary adventure, with wine pairings to match the carefully crafted five-course menu by Executive Chef Josh Bernstein. Guest speaker, Madison Fender, brand ambassador at Lieb Cellars, will also share tasting notes to go along with the cuisine, which includes:
TUNA CRUDO – Ahi tuna, house pickles, grilled lime, King’s Ginger liquor. Paired with a 2010 Lieb Blanc de Blancs.
LOCAL BURRATA – Burrata, basil, pesto, tomato jam, baby greens, crostini. Paired with a 2013 Lieb Reserve Pinot Blanc.
SEARED ATLANTIC MACKEREL – Seared mackerel, persimmon fennel salad, parsley puree. Paired with a 2013 Lieb Reserve Merlot.
BRAISED LAMB SHOULDER – Roasted baby vegetable, salmoriglio sauce. Paired with a 2012 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon.
SALTED CARAMEL BUDINO – Whipped cream, shaved chocolate. Paired with a 2013 Lieb Dessert Wine.
