Restaurant Latour will hold the first ever wine dinner on Tuesday March 10 at 6:30pm. Under new Executive Chef Anthony Bucco, the restaurant will feature the boutique wines of California’s PlumpJack and its sister properties CADE and the new Odette Estate. The dinner will start with passed canapés followed by a four-course menu by Chef Bucco. Guest Scot Gaffney from PlumpJack will be on hand to discuss the wines.
Established in 1995, PlumpJack Winery sits in the heart of Napa Valley’s renowned Oakville region, surrounded by a 42-acre estate vineyard highly regarded for the quality of its Cabernet Sauvignon. Northeast of St. Helena, CADE was founded with a commitment to environmental responsibility and organic winemaking. The group’s newest winery, Odette Estate, from the legendary Stag’s Leap district, will serve its first release at the dinner.

Specific ingredients were chosen to mirror the philosophy of Restaurant Latour. Bucco’s inventive cooking unique flavor combinations are on display with canapes including Uni with polenta and grapes, Avocado with pistachio and chili, and Wagyu Beef Tartare, all paired with 2013 CADE Sauvignon Blanc. Turbot, apple and vanilla will be matched with 2013 PlumpJack Reserve Chardonnay, while Porcelet with wild cherry and celery pairs with 2012 CADE Cabernet Sauvignon. Newly release 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Odette Estate will accompany a hearty Short Rib of Beef with cocoa and endive. For dessert of Apple, Toffee and Yogurt, a 2012 PlumpJack Merlot will be served. The full menu is below.
